Norbury rail commuters are being warned to plan ahead as National Rail and Southern Railway confirm major late-night engineering works on the route between London Bridge and East Croydon, starting Monday 31 August and running each night until Thursday 3 September 2026.
According to official service updates, the overnight track improvements will close key lines, with replacement buses drafted in to cover passenger journeys during the late-evening hours. The work is scheduled to take place nightly from approximately 23:45 through to the end of service.
